Ah, pseudoephedrine- or as we knew it in my tribe 'instant asshole'. My late brother was prone to irritability when taking it, which I suspect was his idiosyncratic take on the known side effect of 'unusual nervousness, restlessness, or excitement'.
We convinced him to stop taking it after an untoward incident with a bit of crockery. I'd never seen something actually dashed to the ground before, it was quite odd. It made him all Hulk SMASH and jacked up his sleep cycle which led to yet more Hulk-like feelings. To put it in perspective, his reserve unit docs during Desert Storm considered his reaction problematic enough to put a note in his records.
Me? It makes me thirsty and jittery, dries up my entire head for exactly 4 hours then *poof* stops working at all. I do know people who find it really useful, including my spousal unit, so we keep it in the house.
I hope you feel better soon. The bored exhaustion phase is a pain in the ass, isn't it?
