and it's hang, boys, hang!

Playlist for this bar brawl, the writing of which is like pulling teeth:

Stan Ridgway, Hanging Johnny
Matthew Good, Flight Recorder from Viking 7
Matthew Good, Weapon
Oysterband, Rambling Irishman
The Actual, Between the Bridge and the Chapel.

On infinite repeat.

But! In other news, duellist is now over 11K long. At this rate, I may actually have a book sometime in the next five years. :P

I don't know that music (although is one of Matthew Good's song Girlfriend?) Is this music loud and raucous, or are you going for a different kind of bar fight?

'Weapon' and 'Between the Bridge and the Chapel' are loud and angry. (Ain't it so weird, how it makes you a weapon? and There is blood on the snowbank along the motorway are some examples of their lyrics.) 'Hanging Johnny' is a sea chantey about a hanging rope. 'Rambling Irishman' is Oysterband - an angry reinterpretation of a traditional song.

And 'Flight Recorder from Viking 7', well... It's pure lonely eerie. The lyrics are here (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/matthewgoodband/flightrecorderfromviking7.html), if you're interested.

I don't know what kind of bar fight it is. But apparently the b*8k demands an awkward fight at this point. Don't ask me, I just work here. :)
