I'm surprised at myself: I'm making progress. Slow progress, but still, progress. I've hit all my wordcount targets and better for three days running. Here's hoping I can kept it up.

Well, guess what happened to me last night?

Goddamn story. At 0230, to boot. It hijacked my brain and wouldn't let go till 0430, when I fell into bed with 450 words behind me.

I thought it was over, that it would leave me alone after that. but would it? No. It took over my day today, eating up the afternoon with hectic snatches of prose running through my head.

I finished it. One 1800 word short story, done inside 24 hours. Breaker of Worlds, Spinner of Dreams - I've always been crap at titles - is off to look for a home now. Hope it succeeds.

It certainly succeeded in eating the writing time I had laid aside for my other projects, as well as my sleep time. I foresee another late night...
