Lightning storm and pelting rain on the way home from the station tonight. Soaked through and exhilarated in about equal measure.
Introduced M. to Doctor Who today. I think that went well. The Runaway Bride and Blink stand up well for starting with.
If the Postgrad Common Room is always this empty on a Saturday evening in summer, I may find myself there more often.
I now have a National Library of Ireland reader card. That building? Is so. Freaking. Beautiful. I'm going to have to find something remotely relevant to read in there soon, just to be able to sit there.
Sometime in the next while, I need to make a walking circuit of central Dublin. I have a nice little comfort zone, but I forget that thirty minutes down the river is another National Museum, and just up from the Castle is Patrick's Cathedral - and I've never yet been to either Patrick's Cathedral or Marsh's Library, and that does not seem right.
And apparently the GPO has opened a museum, sometime in the last year or two. I really haven't been paying quite enough attention.
