After a week of moping around like six kinds of fool, I finally made it to the gym to do my resistance training day. (En route, the train was delayed for forty-five minutes because someone drove their vehicle into a bridge. No word on the person, but in the end the bridge turned out to be just fine.)

Resistance day:
Assisted pull-ups: 4x5 @30kg assist
Leg press: 4x10 @66kg
Benchpress: 2x6 @60kg, 1x4 @60kg, 1x7 @55kg.

A nice lad wearing a Trinity SF t-shirt came to my aid on rep 5 of my third set, since I couldn't make the bar go back up alone, and then hung around to spot me for the final set. I owe him for the save.

One-arm bent-over row: 2x10 (each arm) @12.5kg
Military press: 4x10 @5kg/arm
Decline crunches: 1x10, 1x8
Back extensions: 2x12
Lunges onto this device: 2x10 (each leg)
Hamstring exercises on the Swiss ball: 4x10.

Mass: 110.5kg.




There are three emails in my inbox that need attention and I don't have the mental or emotional stamina to even open them. I feel very brittle in terms of ability to talk to people. Communicate. Deal. They'll have to keep another day at least.

But onwards we go. I might manage to see if Miracles in the Greco-Roman World: A Sourcebook is of any use to my research. I think I'm capable of that at least.
