I gave a paper...
Feb. 8th, 2014 07:15 pm...as part of a roster of five speakers to the general public today. Well. The Irish Institute at Hellenic Studies at Athens' section of the general public.
It was an interesting day. Respectable persons said complimentary things about my paper. There was a reception with macaroons and fancy chocolates and fancier crisps and wine, which I did not drink, because I had been awake since 0700 on four hours' sleep and wine is not so good for me under the best of circumstances. I talked to many people whom I had not seen in months. My supervisor, who is the best, gave me a book.
Such people. So enthusiasm. Much talkings. So conversation. Wow.
Communicative faculties now like freeze-dried sludge. Introvert crash in progress. If coherence required, please call again tomorrow.
