Running, 1.36 miles in 15 minutes or 1.62 miles, 20 minutes, total.
I have an extension for one looming essay, and a little time. I'm looking forward to my two-hour (indoor) lead-climbing class on Wednesday, and climbing followed by a lecture by an editor of Archaeology Ireland tomorrow night.
I finally rigged a line so I can hang my chalkbag from the back of my waist. Two heavy-duty laces, a reef knot, and two stopper knots, and I don't have to resort to twine, or actually buy anything. Which is kind of cool. (I like reef knots and slipped clove hitches. So simple. So useful.)
Bad news: the laptop is b0rked, possibly irretrievably. Fortunately I backed up to external hd when it started going wonky, but I really hope it's fixable, otherwise I'll need to find five or six hundred euro from somewhere. And that means I won't get to either Rome or Budapest (subsidised trips, which would have cost about five hundred euro between them, although I was coming to the conclusion that I could only afford one, if that) and likely might put a spanner in the works of getting to a nice cool damp field school this summer. Which would be bad, since I have archaeological ambitions in terms of postgraduate work.
Well, maybe I'll get lucky. :)
