35 minutes on the treadmill on a hill climb programme.

No climbing, because after that, damn, was I tired.

In the library for approximately three hours: read and took copious notes on 12 pages of "Le culte d'Isis", and scrambled through some more of Gods and Men in Egypt looking for Isis-related things. I'm not quite as poorly off as concerns the French as I'd thought, since I can make out what most paragraphs are about, even if I'm going to have hard work translating the details of the relevent quotes.

I'm also kind of horrified right now, because a guy I know very slightly was the suicide portion of a murder-suicide stabbing incident that wounded two more people over the weekend, and the news coverage is downright ghoulish. I didn't even know the guy except to see - he was a classmate of mine - but what's happening now is not responsible journalism.

His royal nuisanceship escaped through a second-floor window whilst I was out, and has been scant presence until just now, when he has turned up sitting on the back wall, yelling, and refusing to come in.

Not too bad at all, thanking you kindly. My BT kittie has decided I'm safe to tolerate again, at least until the next time I give her an injection, and everyone else is appallingly healthy. For now.

And an old friend from more than 30 years ago has turned up on Facebook, to my surprise. Amusingly, it turns out we went to universities right near each other, even though she'd moved out of town and we had by then stopped writing. Ah, well, such are the twists of fate.
