Yr. correspondent in the wilds of Russia offers her felicitations, being MUCH CHEERED to hear of the GOOD TASTE and SOUND JUDGMENT evinced by said Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences (and humbly prays that the recipient will satisfy her curiousity as to "scanned, uncorrected 18th century things." The style is indeed infectious.) It is of course most pleasing to see MERIT REWARDED, especially if the result tends towards the furtherance of SCHOLARSHIP.
