I need...

...to talk to real humans who are my friends - and who aren't my supervisor or my mother or random persons encountered throughout the day - using out-loud words and looking at human faces more than once every two weeks.

I've been spoiled by semi-regular fortnightly/weekly coffee with C. I have grown to want more.

Is very sad, this need. I fail hermit.

Sorry for being unclear. Let me expand. I wish I were in a position to become enough of a friend that I could give meaningful moral support. But I'm very aware of the limitations of electronic communication. I'm not sure how possible it is to develop that level of connection when the only interactions are on-line.
