I'm mildly astonished at how accurate this is, actually. Even to the alcohol part (which I don't drink, because it does the nasty things to my brain chemicals, oh yes).
Right now, I feel plenty old. Us elderly ones don't heal up from bumps and bruises as fast as you young'uns. Why, I remember back in my day, when I was your age, I laughed at aches and pains, if they lasted long enough for me to notice.
Oh, I have only myself to blame; I really shouldn't have tried to make it to third on that bloop to short center field. I ended up diving for the base and my shoulder still hurts.
Getting older is still better than the alternative, as my Dad always says. ;-)
