So, I finished it. And to my surprise I rather enjoyed the second half of it - enough that I went and bought Fool Moon at bargain-basement prices. It's not the kind of thing, I think, that I'd be quite prepared to pay the full whack for, yet. It is possible that I may I may yet be convinced.
It made okay bathroom reading, in the end.

Some kind person has saved me the trouble of reading Eragon. I found the commentary laugh-out-loud funny in a couple of places: well worth checking out.
I sleep now.
