I am engaged to my wonderful girlfriend! Officially as of yesterday.

We got each other engagement pens instead of rings, because neither of us would wear rings. (Also, because we are dork-geek-nerds.) Semper amatis - "you (pl) always love," or "to those who have always been loved."

I also like the pens. Instead of wedding rings, which neither of us would wear, we have pendants, which we *do* wear. This is very much a 'whatever works' thing - why *would* you pick something you don't like or want instead of something that makes you smile evert time you see it?
