So my laptop's mouse pad is frozen and I can't get the cursor to move. After several reboots, sigh. I suspect a Chinese virus is to blame, since I don't usually see apps with Chinese characters in their names dance on the screen in between giving the shut down command and the blue Microsoft screen.

Alas. Alack. Curses.

Everything I touch turns to lead.

ETA: Fixed at long last, a day and many curses later.

Fixed now. Don't know how I managed it, but it seems 'fiddle things until you get results' is still a valid response to troublesome shit. :)
