Jan. 31st, 2008 01:03 pmApparently I have about a third less iron in my blood than is normal.
That explains a lot.
(The vampires still want more blood, though. Inconvenient.)

I've also had good results with slow release iron pills--my iron levels are in the low normal range now, my cognitive functioning is back up and I don't feel like I could sleep all day anymore. Huge improvements for someone who's generally high energy.
Good luck in dealing with yours, and with the vampires. ::hates needles::

Don't forget the non-heme sources of iron in your diet; you don't have to eat large quantities of meat at every meal to make yourself healthier. Nuts, legumes, other vegetables, eggs...etc..can't think of any more.
