1. Eleven minute mile today. Achievement!

Now to work up to mile and a half. Sixteen minutes, thirty seconds, if I don't attempt to increase speed. Think I can do that in the next five weeks?

2. Family woes back again. I have one incredibly foolish uncle, and a grandmother who cares so much about him that she neglects her own health to better support him.

I hate this kind of thing, but you know what? I'm going to be selfish. They can all go to hell in their own damn handcarts: I've better things to do than spaz about things that can't be changed.

3. Study process ongoing. Enoch, Qum'ran: fascinating. Linear B: slightly less fascinating. Herod: not really all that fascinating, once you move on from the complicated family drama.

3 (a). Schols start tomorrow week. Ye gods and little fishies, the next four weeks are going to be busy.

4. Shadow Unit is the most amazing thing on the internets.

5. Weather: cold, wet. Do not want.

Congratulations on the 11 minute mile! I definitely think you can hit the 1.5 mile mark in 16 and a 1/2 minutes in five weeks. Do you alternate your training with speed work at all? That definitely helps.

Some. Not as much as I'd like. I don't have a whole lot of time to spend at the gym, so I'm trying to get the most out of what I have.
