After painkillers and Deep Heat, I feel almost human. Not human enough to go to the gym, though, so I think I'll have a leisurely afternoon, maybe go for a short run outside later, or a nice long walk.

I'm not going to study until next week. Some downtime is necessary. As is some lunch, at this point.

Oh, and happy birthday! to [livejournal.com profile] jmeadows.

That was some serious climbing! How long have you been at it? I tried it for the first time just a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it, but within a half hour my arms were spaghetti.

I started last November, but I've only been going regularly since the Easter break. You improve really fast once you start going twice a week. :)

Heh. We discovered some stuff called ICEMAN - for external animal use only - which we get from the vet, which is a major step up on deep heat :-)

tch. Horse-linament is good for all that ails you :-)! (actually getting iceman in Oz or NZ if we emigrate is a serious issue. It's close to family religion by now. Really good stuff for muscular damage or even just stiffness.)

And here I though Deep Heat was horse liniment. :P

Is it too warm to send chocolate by post? :)

Oh man, I wish it wasn't! You have the best chocolate over there. Virtual chocolate is yum too, though, and melty free. ;)

I will post you a packet.

Will you be at WFC in October? Because if you are, I can load up on Butlers before getting on the plane. :)

Not going to WFC, alas! I was planning on WorldCon in Denver, since I have a friend in the area, but I don't know if I'm going to make that, either. Bleh.

Alas.

WFC is looking like the only North American con I'll get to this side of 2012. Unless I suddenly inherit a pile, which is, you know, not likely. :)

There will be more cons! I'm determined to get to another one soon-ish. 2012 looks like a good time to aim for. ;)

By 2012 I should be a struggling doctoral student, as opposed to a poor undergrad. So maybe I can visit more continents! :)
