In other news, summer's gone again. A wind blew up off the sea, and turned the day cold, with mist. Seriously. You could see your breath.

I went for a walk and took some pictures, which may appear at some point after I finish another chapter of Greek vocabulary.

I don't have the chance to do comics much: I tend to lose single issues (so I don't buy them) and the trades are expensive enough that I could get three books for the price of one.

I hadn't seen it. The cover looks pretty. Is it any good?

It has the same sort of story features as Lang's Metropolis; sentimental as heck. It is a slimmish trade, mostly worth getting, if at all, for the pretty.

There is, set subsequently, a Batman:Nosferatu [ which is much more Cabinet of Dr. Caligari than Nosferatu ] which is worth it if you liked the first, and a Wonder Woman: The Blue Amazon, which flails hard at connecting to The Blue Angel and is IMO a loss.

The only comics I've read are the Buffy and Star Wars tie-ins, and Girl Genius. I'm pretty behindhand.

I'd like to read more, but, you know. Money. Time. :)
