Ambition

I have conceived a new ambition. One day I will have a yacht - perhaps even be so fortunate as to be able to earn a living therefrom - and thus be able to sail away to other lands any time I feel like it.

Because, really. Being stuck to one place is no fun.

(chuckle) You may wish to consider my bro's definition of a yacht - a boat-shaped hole in the water that you have to pour money into to keep from filling with water and disappearing. Still, yes, I get where you're coming from on this. I'd sometimes like to toss my life onto a vessel and just sail away, without all the needless expense and frustration of trying to do it any other way. (in my case there has also been a strong yen for an island, where I could say 'mine' and get lost rest of the world. Admittedly islands don't sail well. On the other hand I don't lose my lunch over the side either.

Oh, I know. Boats are fragile, expensive things.

And yet, so beautiful. So freeing.
