Another year closer to death, or whatever

...I think I'll stop paying attention to my birthdays, really. Aside from the fact that adulthood is an odd phenomenon I seem so far to have escaped possessing, my birthdays seem to be getting progressively less interesting. Tonight, for example, I am sharing a meal with the parent at the local Chinese place, and then going to the monthly open-mike poetry night.
The anticipation, it's killing me. :P
