dashed hopes
Sep. 23rd, 2008 08:47 pmDue to a train cancellation, I didn't get in to climb tonight.
I would like to state, for the record, that I consider it a failure of civilisation that, if one train is cancelled, there is not another to follow it for more than ninety minutes.
So I went for a walk and did the shopping instead. And discovered, halfway through the walk, that it's probably a good thing that I'm taking tonight off from major exercise: my right ankle decided to ache and twinge, and briefly, radiated a nasty wee bit of pain up my leg.
My grandmother's in hospital tonight. She's having an operation in the morning.
Gods, I'm worried for her.

(You hear that, universe? If it doesn't work out okay, I'll - well, I don't know what I'll do, but you won't like it!)
