still not over it

hawkwing_lbI haven't done any exercise since nearly two weeks ago. What with getting over a cold, and all, I suppose it's excusable. On the other hand, karate tomorrow night is going to hurt like fuck.
I spent today - after I crawled out of bed, and it's really annoying when one sleeps right through the alarm - in the library, reading Ptolemaic decrees (Canopus, Rosetta, and a 2nd century amnesty decree) and Theocritus' Encomium on Ptolemy Philadelphus. Joys. I do not enthuse over panegyrics.
But hey, learning. Right now, I'm killing time - my bus does not depart for an hour ten minutes, and the bus stop is only a twenty minute walk, so here I am, having burned out on commentaries.
And spent my lunch money for the next three days on Terry Pratchett's Unseen Academicals. A Pratchett book with football in. How could I walk away?
(I didn't think it was out until November. Oops.)
