and cried the crow, and ran the hare
Oct. 10th, 2009 08:19 pmYou know, despite the fact that this has actually been a pretty good week?
I have a gloom.
Ain't life marvellous?
So. I have a thesis to write. I started writing it today. It is quite interesting. Apart from the terrifying fact that I KNOW NOTHING. And half the research is written in French. And I need the first two chapters by mid-December and the rest by the end of February. Meanwhile keeping up with my classes and writing two hour-long presentations. That I know of. So far.
And climbing and running and eating and sleeping, because those are the things that keep me sane.
So when I say I could really use some optimism right about now? I sure as hell mean it. Because I'm flat out.
I know it's a worthwhile endeavour. And when I forget to be scared out of my skin I'm enjoying it. But bloody buggering fuck, that's not often.
Someone tell me why anything worth doing is always hard?
In other news, the internets are evil. For I covet music by Mark Knopfler and Vienna Teng, and without the internets I would not have known what I'm missing.
I have a gloom.
