The Orthodox don't seem to like it when people point out that as a movement, they only really formulated their positions in the 19th century. I wonder why. :)
Also, they used to be the liberal Jews. (Dancing? Displays of happiness? I mean, really. This r srs bzns.)
Historians, in my experience, have too much knowledge to waste time with tact. For example, Eric Flint and Virginia DeMarce are not the most* diplomatic people, although delightful for conversation and learnings.
