1. Dorothy L. Sayers, Whose Body?

One of the earlier Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries, as I recall, and a very interesting little pair of interlocked mysteries this is, too.

The racism is not as bad as in Unnatural Death, but it's still pretty strong. Which is unfortunate, because I wanted to love this book wholeheartedly, and, well. Anti-Semitism: do not want.

You are sick? My sympathies. Although mine seems nearly on the way to recovery. But I've lost at least three days' worth of work to being logey and stupid, and will likely lose another couple yet.

So I'll need luck. Thank you. :)

Thankfully, I am in recovery mode as well, but it ate up my Christmas weekend and still has me a little extra tired and coughing and sneezing.

Which is part of why it is so boring. I just want it to go away so I can have energy and can bake stuff without feeling like I will be infecting anyone who eats my cookies. As it is, I have just enough energy and am just uninfectious (is that a word?) enough to not justify staying home from work.

heh. yeah. I sat around at my grandma's house all weekend just looking sleepy and grumpy.

Also - my uncles kept trying to get me to take the same "medicine" that my also sick Uncle L was taking. Yeah....cuz what I need to drink when I'm dehydrated is tequila and homebrewed beer. :P

god. now that I think about it - that makes me feel old. That they were trying to give me alcohol instead of teasing me about not being allowed to have any of it.
