Today, I went through 14 pages and a bit of the thesis with a red pen.

Permit me, if you will, to believe I might actually not do too badly at this after all.

Permit you? Well, hon, here's the form -- please fill this out in triplicate, no cross-outs, black ink only, have it countersigned by three witnesses, and returned to this office by yesterday at 3 pm. We'll let you know if you've been approved...

::approves::

....Someone is ungodly chirpy about all this.

*suspects self of being mocked*

Measures will be taken! Heads will roll! Theses will be finished! Come hell or high watery internets!

Perhaps it's what passes for government humour. Pathetic though it may be, it's time to find what small dregs of humour I can.. ;-)

in reality, I think you are doing an amazing job of it, but we had that problem with your ego a while back, and all. Carry on!

Off with her head! On with the battle!

Humour is important. Chirpiness is an abomination unto the lord my thesis. :P

(I am a blasphemer and a heretic. Such is the fate of all former theology students. :) )

How are you doing?

Humour is paramount, in these strange days. I am doing about as well as can be expected, with mostly cloudy outlook and occasional spots of sun followed by random squalls and hurricanes. I'm beginning to make jokes about our situation with my son, who was startled by the first attempt. Moving on, at least in small ways. There's no way to know how this will end, if it does, so I focus on the things I can do, and on the things I must do.

If it weren't for our son, I'd be doing things differently, but he deserves to have his optimism and so I shall support that in every way possible. He does seem to be losing his faith though, since he must be praying for a better resolution and not seeing any godly effects. Of course, now is the time she wants to push him into Confirmation classes. We shall see how that works out.

Time for another cuppa.

As a former Catholic, I strongly believe no one ought to be confirmed in their religion until they're old enough to vote. But I hope it works out for your son.

And for you. *hugs*
