Where did the summer go?
Jul. 25th, 2005 11:56 pmIt's Monday. Well, hey. I'm a boring person, I state the obvious.
Welcome to the last week of July.
My total for This Damned Story so far - as of now, about 8150 damned words. Why is it that writing sometimes feels like blood from a stone, and other times it flows quite well? 1400 words between 2015 and 2345. That's almost a record.
And London. So the police shot an innocent man. The talking heads will have a field day (week? month?).
An incident like this should raise uncomfortable questions for those in charge. I hope they succeed in answering them before the next 'incident'.
This is something I picked up a while ago. Not sure if I agree with it.
And, oh -
1400 frickin' words! 8150 since Tuesday!
Laisser les bons temps rouler, and all that :-).

You're Cat's Cradle!
by Kurt Vonnegut
You believe quite firmly that free will deserted you long ago and far
away. As a result, it's hard to take responsibility for anything. Even though you show
great potential as a leader of a small 3rd world country, the choices are all made ahead
of time. You're rather fond of games involving string. Your fear of nuclear weaponry is
trumped only by your fear of ice.
