It won't, sadly, arrive before my exams. Or after them [mutter, mutter. The US release date was May 24. It should have been able to arrive before June 8]. But in the middle, a sad state of affairs, since I just know it will appear on my doorstep the day before one of the maths exams.
I have been waiting for Lois McMaster Bujold's latest work ever since I finished the last one. Curse of Chalion was supremely excellent. Paladin of Souls was even better. Both books made me re-examine the way I looked at the world, which is not something I can say for very many authors. And the cruelty, the torture of four whole chapters on the Eos Harpercollins website in the weeks before the US release date makes me think HH will have a similar effect.
I am happy, happy, happy. And also p'd off. :-)
