Poetry, sans title (aka, I broke my brain again)

when in her tower the princess fair
undoes her braid, lets down her hair
does the world change?

is she ever of her own will
free to go, or to remain still
or does she just exchange

one prison for another?
are her father's, brother's
lover's arms as prisoning

(tell me the difference
between 'maiden' and 'mother')

as high tower walls?
can she jump or will she fall?
or can she love the witch

in whose solitude she dwells?
a solitary heaven, or a private hell?
can she ever choose the witch?

(tell me the difference
between 'woman' and 'bitch')

in my fairytale
her tower is a fortress-keep
and when the princess leaves
the witch will grieve
the witch will weep.
