Guess I've gone insane

hawkwing_lb2007 has arrived.
There are many things that must be done this week. I need to check my college fees to make sure the government has paid them as it is supposed to; I need to write my 1500-word essay on kingship in Sumer and Israel; I need to print out and deliver my CV to places which may be convinced to employ me; I need to work up a plan of study; and I need to arrange to lay aside time in my schedule for gym and karate.
Five things. That's enough for the next six days.

1200 words today. New story. First paragraph, for the mockery of all three people on the internets who read this journal:
It started when I found my grandson's wife trying to turn my great-granddaughter Fionnuala into a swan.
Oh, it's happened before. It's an old trouble, started back in my great-grandmother's day: the women of our family are forever being turned into swans and getting themselves locked up in towers with no doors, and if it's not swans and towers, it's glass coffins and curses in the cradle and talking mirrors. (It was a sad thing, what happened to my sister Ilsa. They had to bury the mirror with her daughter, and Ilsa's still in the attic raving about her beauty -- though it's long since faded, I assure you.) The boys are worse. Quests and minotaurs and flying horses and lost cauldrons, and not a one of them ever had the wit to marry well.
This is what happens when someone pisses off a dragon with a sense of humour. Scaly bastard.
If I was to be an optimistic person, I might imagine I could finish that this week, too. But I'm not an optimist.
