Children of Men is a good film. Yes. Very good.

Oh, will you look at that? It's the weekend already. I understand for some bizarre people, this means they get two days to relax. Not me.

4 hours of study + 6 hours of writing + 2 hours of exercise + 2 hours of filing + 2 hours of cleaning + 4 hours more study + time to eat + 2(12) hours of sleep = 48 hours, near enough.

I had my 3 hours of recreation time this evening. :)

Things to do tomorrow:

1. Finish, damn it, my essay, by hook or by crook, by means fair or foul. (The essay that Will Not Die must die. I have decreed it, and it will be done.)

The essay is dead. Long live the essay!

I am posting this here, because it is my habit to check LJ immediately after I wake up*, and if I don't write this down, I know I'll forget.

Things to do:

1. Finish, damn it, my essay, by hook or by crook, by means fair or foul.
2. Account for reading of 2007 so far (Fallon, Ford, Wells, Wells, Zelazny). ETA: Tomorrow.
3. Write down my somewhat conflicted thoughts about the themes of power and its affect on human relationships present in Gentle's Ilario. ETA: This waits until tomorrow.

4. Go for a run.
5. Sort shit out for back-to-lectures.
6. Print out my bloody CV and letters-of-application

7. Deliver aforementioned bloody documents to whatever places of business will accept them. ETA: This will have to wait until Monday, alas.

8. Reread essay and check for obvious logic errors. (Finish! Finish! Finish!)

9. Write 300 words. ETA: Because I'm a fool for a challenge, this just got upgraded to 750 words.

10. Go for another run.

ETA 1830: I suck, don't I? Essay finishing must wait upon tomorrow.

---

*Yes, I'm an addict. No intervention necessary.

2007 has arrived.

There are many things that must be done this week. I need to check my college fees to make sure the government has paid them as it is supposed to; I need to write my 1500-word essay on kingship in Sumer and Israel; I need to print out and deliver my CV to places which may be convinced to employ me; I need to work up a plan of study; and I need to arrange to lay aside time in my schedule for gym and karate.

Five things. That's enough for the next six days.

---

1200 words today. New story. First paragraph, for the mockery of all three people on the internets who read this journal:

Untitled fairytale cliché story )

If I was to be an optimistic person, I might imagine I could finish that this week, too. But I'm not an optimist.

Happy 2007.
