It was an interesting day.
After climbing with M. - improved a couple of blue 6Bs, made a decent stab at a bloody difficult red 6A+ and a red 6B+, sent a green 6B, a 5, and a 6A - we went for lunch. M. is a nice boy, despite, or possible because of, being a computer scientist. My soup was more like stew, which was good, and M., poor lad, was hassled by a woman who took it into her head that he had called her a rude name, which was not so good. (I'm not sure he knows how to be rude. This woman was rather loud and random and aggressive to other people in the café as well. It was an experience.)
But M. introduced me to a drink called chai, which appears to be a net good in the universe. (Universe, why do you keep sending civilised floppy taken boys to my door? Is this like an ongoing test of my personal ethics, or something?)
Oh. And some of my book orders arrived in the bookshop at the same time as twenty euro in my purse. Net good.
