Yes, I'm packed. Surprisingly, it didn't take that long, even though I was distracted by re-watching some episodes of Firefly. Now all I need to do is remember to bring the toothbrush in the morning.
Nasty domestic trivia-ish things keep rolling through my mind. Like showergel. Medication. Should I/shouldn't I bring jewellery? Toothpaste.
And damn, but I hate airports.
I'm bringing Richard Feynmann's QED, a biography of Catherine de Medici, Michael Crawford's The Roman Republic and another book, A Brief History of Ancient Greece, whose multiple authors I cannot now remember.
No fiction. None. I will probably be insane by this time next week.

Now off to copy some music to CD to take away with me. Yes, I'm a techie-fossil: none of that new-fangled mp3 stuff for me.
